The yard
Cairncross Dockyard Brisbane is situated beside the Brisbane River at 405 Thynne Road, Morningside, Brisbane, Australia. Established in 1942, Cairncross is Australia’s second largest shipyard and has one of only two dry-docks in Australia capable of berthing large ships up to 85,000 dwt.
Cairncross Dockyard is currently undergoing a full upgrade to deliver State of the Art ship repair and maintenance facilities for large vessels to Southeast Queensland.
